The Church in Cupertino

September 6, 2015, Sunday meeting. What was so particular about this day that captured my heart? It was my first time witnessing the translating brother weep during the message.

Fast forward 6.5 years, I decide to listen to the Sunday recording. The message meeting was titled “Jacob’s Experience” from Genesis 32 & 37, the burden from brother GM Jeng.

“Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.” - Genesis 32:28

Through the burden of brother GM Jeng, I was reminded from the Lord what is our purpose here on earth?

God created man so man can express the image of Christ.

Our hearts should not grab the things of the world, because once the breath of life is taken, worldly possessions and relationships fade away.

Romans 8:30, “Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”

Our time on earth should be a testimony for Christ and the Church.

May the Lord consecrate our hearts.
